Bartender Wanted — Square Peg Pizzeria, Delray Beach We're not really in the pizza business. We're in the business of making people feel like they matter the second they walk in — and nobody sets that tone faster than the person behind the bar. You're the first hello, the fast pour, the reason someone decides to stay for round two. That's the job. What you'll actually do: - Greet guests by name whenever you can — and if you don't know it yet, get it - Remember something from their last visit and bring it up without being asked - Get that first drink out fast. Every time. No exceptions, no excuses - Read the table — encourage a second or third round because it fits the moment, not because you're pushing it - Keep that bar top spotless, always, like someone's about to eat off it (because someone might) - Know every cocktail recipe and pour standard cold — not "close enough" - Know the beer and wine list by style, not just name on a bottle - Check ID every single time policy requires it. No exceptions, no judgment calls - Know how to 86 something and get the word to the floor fast, before it becomes a problem Who thrives here: Someone who stays steady when it's five deep at the bar — prioritizes, keeps their cool, talks to the team instead of snapping at them. We're not looking for someone who freezes under volume or lets the quality slide when it gets busy. Someone who actually has a system for remembering guests and their drinks — not just a good memory, but a real habit of caring enough to use it. If "I don't really need to remember regulars" is a sentence you'd say out loud, this isn't your bar. You don't need ten years behind a rail to get hired here. You need to care about the person on the other side of it — and be willing to learn the rest, cold, the right way. Ready to run a bar where the regulars actually feel like regulars? Apply now — tell us about a time you made a guest feel seen without being asked to. That's really the whole interview.
