Square Peg Pizzeria is hiring a Pizza Cook. Every pie that leaves our oven is somebody's Friday night, their kid's birthday, their first date. That's not pressure — that's the job. When you own the oven, you're not just cooking pizza, you're building the reason someone comes back next week. What you'll actually do: - Stretch, dress, launch, and turn every pie to spec — size, bake, and toppings, every single time - Know your dough — handling, proofing, par levels, cold, no guessing - Know your oven — temps and bake times for every pizza on the menu - Know every build and portion so a pie made at 6pm matches one made at 11pm - Run tight allergen protocol and cross-contact prevention, especially gluten - Catch a mistake, own it, re-fire immediately — no excuses, no arguing about whose fault it was - Call out 86s and delays to the floor fast, before it becomes their problem - Jump in on other stations when the ticket printer won't stop — we get through the rush together - Clean as you go. You take real pride in a good stretch, a clean bake, a balanced pie — this is a craft to you, not assembly line work. When it gets slammed, you hold your standard instead of dropping it and blaming the rush. You're steady, you're proud of your station, and you'd rather fix a mistake than explain it away. Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays — that's when this place comes alive, and we need you there for it. $18–$20/hr, based on experience. Full-time and part-time available.
